You may require advice; have an established garden and wish to update it, add some new plants, install some paving or another landscape element such as a water feature or outdoor living area?

Landscaping your own garden and you need some direction or input.

Do you have different ideas, and need someone to bounce them off?

Does  your existing garden or property need attention, is the soil poor, are plants not performing well, have there been bad choices made; is drainage inadequate or are pests and diseases present?

Are existing structures failing, concrete cracking, a retaining wall shifting, paving sinking or other problems present you wish to resolve?

Do you require advice on materials to use - turf, pavers, plants, retaining walls, switching an irrigation system from spray to drip line, automating it or whatever, installation of water tanks or other elements?

Do you have tree issues?

LANDSCAPE CONCEPT PLANS

Concept plans are used as a preliminary tool to develop ideas and landscaping layouts.

Some people require overall ideas that can be developed over time – especially sometimes on larger properties.

Broad issues are considered; where should we locate our outdoor living area, pool, tennis court, spa, vegetable garden, shed, clothesline, water tank, or other elements.

Planting layouts and themes can be explored, developed and included.

Landscape concept plans may be required for planning purposes.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNS

Landscape designs generally include all landscape design elements required as agreed to.

Full construction notes are usually included to build the landscape such as; site preparation, demolition works, soil preparation and conditioning, surfaces and finishes - mulches, hard surface treatments like paving, concrete, bitumen, gravel and other treatments.

Built structures, steps, retaining walls, garden edging, pergolas, decks, fencing, letter boxes, barbecues, spas, pools, water features and the like can be specified for construction purposes.

Plants are specified to the degree required including a plant legend which can show minimum plant or container sizes at time of planting and other information. Planting instructions including ground preparation, staking, tying, watering and feeding are usually included.

Quantities or bill of materials can be provided for all or any of the landscape elements.

Future maintenance requirements including a maintenance schedule can be provided.

Engineering computations if required can be provided.

PLANNING AND COUNCIL REQUIREMENTS

Planning applications often require landscape concept plans or full landscape designs as part of the planning or building application process.

Dependent upon the project type and location council requirements can be demanding. Councils may require site surveys, existing vegetation or tree details, neighbouring elements, neighbourhood analysis and the like.

SITE SURVEYS

Site surveys or base plans define existing elements of a site. They may include existing buildings and other structures, height datums, contours, a 3D site model, boundaries, service and easement locations, soil condition/type, tree and vegetation details, or neighbourhood information.

New projects may have some of this information provided by the survey, planning or building drawings; if not we can assist to collect it.

3D PRESENTATIONS

At times 3D presentations may be required to adequately view elements of the design - if so we can provide them.

If you have any questions or we can assist you with your project; please do not hesitate to make contact.
