Design Process
The landscape design process – HOW IT WORKS
Generally you contact us by phone or email and we discuss your project with you.
We establish which of our services you require, provide you with a preliminary cost estimate and set up a time to get together with you to discuss your project.
First Meeting
We become familiar with you, your ideas your neighbourhood and property.
We explore your site, its assets, aspect and discover your requirements consideriung your lifestyle, family and goals.
We observe existing features, trees and other vegetation, views, fauna, neighbouring surrounds and how they interconnect and relate; take notes, measurements, photographs and obtain from you any site or building plans and cad files if available.
We explore your ideas, discuss materials – What are the things you really like or dislike?
We provide you with a final cost estimate for the service you require.
Document Preparation
We prepare your initial Concept Plan, Landscape Design or Consultation Report and provide drawings to you for comment.
We review with you through meetings, phone calls, emails and finalise your drawings and obtain your approval.
If required we can submit your drawings for planning or permit requirements.
Contractor Selection
We can obtain quotations from contractors for you.
Dependent upon your project, its size and scope you may require only one contractor or several different trades.
We assist with contractor selection, be a resource for you during the construction process and will supervise the entire project or elements of it if you have engaged us to do so.
Plants and Materials
If required we can as part of our services organise plants and other materials or advise you where you can purchase your supplies from.
We are passionate about gardening, landscaping, trees, the environment and our clients and often talk to them years after a project is complete - we try to maintain an attitude of being available.
