Landscapes by Design is a landscape design and consulting arborist business located in Melbourne Australia. We have been landscaping and designing gardens for over 30 years and have completed landscaping projects of all types.
Principal Darrell Mcleod has worked within the landscaping, nursery and horticultural industries all of his life. He started with his father at the age of 10, mowing lawns and helping out within his father’s garden maintenance business in some of Melbourne's finer suburbs.
Together they developed a reputable landscaping business and later established a nursery and garden supplies outlet which he owned and operated after his father’s passing.
After selling that business he continued landscaping completing many prestigious domestic and commercial landscaping projects with up to twenty five landscape gardeners.
In 2006 he decided to become a full time landscape designer, garden designer and landscape project manager, also gaining his certification as a consulting arborist.
The experience, knowledge and landscaping industry contacts established over the past thirty years have given Darrell a real edge in this transition.
