Townhouses Patterson Lakes
Townhouse Landscaping Patterson Lakes for Frasers (Australand)
A commercial landscaping dry creek bed landscape design in Patterson Lakes south of Melbourne. We have completed many commercial landscape design projects of all types like this landscape design in Melbourne that have been drought tolerant landscapes, wetlands landscapes for some of Australia’s major builders and developers.
This landscape design project was completed for Australand (Now Frasers Property Australia) in Patterson Lakes a few years ago during the drought. We have completed for Frasers over a period of time around 2000 to 3000 landscape designs, a lot of tree reports, consulting arborist services for their townhouse or land development projects and have completed many commercial landscape designs for them.
This development with over 170 townhouses is nestled between the Patterson River to the south and a lake to the north with the local golf course, country club and development in between.
Landscape By Design have completed many similar commercial landscape designs for Frasers Property Australia and many other major developers in various locations throughout Australia.
For this project we completed the final stages which included around 70 homes.
Below are some photos of the project which because of the drought then show some great dry creek bed landscape design solutions.
The final stage landscape design was completed when Melbourne was still enduring the drought and as a consequence many dry creek bed treatments were included using native grasses, other grasses and tufts, some exotics, smaller growing trees and screening shrubs.
The dry creek beds were used on this and other projects because water restrictions prevented the maintenance of traditional lawns.
During the drought they were very successful as an alternative to traditional townhouse landscaping or landscape designs.
This project and others included quantifying the landscaping materials per lot and totalling for the project.
The landscape contractors tendering for the works were appreciative as it saved them lots of work not having to tediously work out those quantities.
